I began model railroading over 40 years ago. I have always enjoyed using my imagination
and learning new ways of doing things. The purpose of this blog is to help those of you that are just starting out in the hobby or have already begun. Over the years, I have learned little tricks on the way to help get the results I wanted. I want to share those with you. I also want to help give you insight from start to finish, (if you ever finish). When I started model railroading in the 70’s, there was no web, no social media and the few people I actually talked to, acted like my questions were stupid. I learned the hobby on my own with many times of frustration and failures.
I want to help you avoid those frustrations if I can, and provide you with helpful information I have attained through the years. Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb or stupid question if you don’t know. Now days, there are ton of resource on model railroading that didn’t exist when I started.
Remember, Its your railroad, your rules. The only one that needs to be happy about your layout is YOU! On social media or the web, you will find many fantastic layouts. They are great to look at, but don’t get caught up thinking your layout will never be as nice. Your layout is YOURS! You are the one that has put time and your money into it. Be proud of what you are and have accomplished.
Happy Railroading
